What it means
Free time-limited parking is common outside shops and town centres. You can stay up to the maximum time shown (e.g. 2 hours) without paying, then you must leave and not return to the same bay for the period shown. After the controlled hours end, you can usually park indefinitely. A disc zone requires you to display a parking disc showing arrival time.
