Time-limited parking
Disc Zone — Free Parking
In plain English
Free parking with a time limit — you must display a parking disc showing your arrival time.
What it means
In a disc zone, parking is free for the time shown (e.g. 30 minutes or 1 hour), but you must display a parking disc (or card) on your dashboard showing the time you arrived. Parking discs are often available free from local shops, petrol stations, or the council. If you don't display one, you can be fined even if you haven't exceeded the time limit.
